The author apparently compiled this list by trawling the job adverts that were being posted, so this may not be a very scientifically accurate list.

My personal view is that this is a very web-centric view of the world. Whilst I think the list may be fairly accurate for many parts of the development world - mobile, I think for the general Enterprise developer these technologies are likely to have less impact.

That said, I think it is every developers duty to push and stretch themselves and would encourage any reader to pick at least one of these technologies and form an understanding of it across the next few months. After all, we should all seek to learn at least one new thing each day, otherwise what is the point?
