On August the 5th NASA will land Mars Science Lab aka Curiosity - their largest and most advanced rover onto the surface of Mars.

With a 9-13 chance of the rover making it to the surface, and with the most audacious landing system I have ever seen - called SkyCrane it’s sure to be an event worth watching!

NASA have a video ”7 minutes of terror” which describes the entry and descent in detail.
